                             CLASS 2 TRANSACTION


Dart Group PLC announces today that it has purchased a second Boeing 737-300QC
aircraft.


The aircraft, an identical type to that purchased on 30th March, 2001 will
also be used on the Group's intra-European cargo operations with some
supplemental passenger flying.


The consideration will be satisfied from existing cash resources and bank
facilities.


The new aircraft is expected to make a positive contribution to the long term
profitability of the Group over the coming years.
