DART GROUP PLC ('Dart Group' or 'the Company')
Issue of New Shares, Director Share Subscription & Trading Update.
The Company announces that, in order to raise additional working capital to
fund potential acquisitions in its core business areas, it will be raising
approximately £2.87 million (net of expenses) by allotting 1,622,150 new
ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company ('Placing Shares') with
institutional investors at 180p per share ('the Placing Price'). The Placing
Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares
in the Company. Application has been made for the Placing Shares to be
admitted to the Official List. It is expected that dealings will commence in
the Placing Shares on 27 September 1999.
As part of this placing, Mike Forder, Group Finance Director, has subscribed
for 1,000 Placing Shares at the Placing Price, giving him an aggregate holding
of 1,500 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company following the issue of the
Placing Shares.
The Company also announces that it is currently trading well and expects full
year results to be in line with market expectations.
