                               AGM STATEMENT 2002


In my statement in our Annual Report for 2001 I said that, following a period of
acquisition and reorganisation, we were in a strong position to grow the
business once there was a revival in economic activity.

In the first three months of this year, there has been little evidence of such a
revival and overall results, which are broadly in line with our expectations,
are similar to those in the first three months of last year.

I remain confident that the Group is well placed to resume growth when the
economy begins to recover.

On Monday 22nd April, we were delighted to announce the appointment of Stuart
Graham as Chief Executive from 1st June.  He joins the Group from ISS where he
was Group Chief Operating Officer.  He has a strong track record and wide
international experience in the business support services sector.  The Board
looks forward to working with him on the next stage of the Group's development.
