JOHNSON SERVICE GROUP PLC
AGM STATEMENT 2003
At the Annual General Meeting, which is due to commence at 3pm today, the
Chairman John Hancox will make the following statement.
'Since my statement in our Annual Report for 2002 seven weeks ago, nothing has
happened to change our view of the future prospects of Johnson Service Group.
Economic activity remains depressed, but I remain encouraged by the robustness
of our retail drycleaning business and by the growth prospects of Stalbridge,
CCM and JWS. It is too early for the steps taken to improve the performance of
Connacht Court to have had any significant effect on its results. The new
management team at Apparelmaster is continuing to work hard to re-establish the
business on a growth path.
Our overall results for the first three months of 2003 are very much in line
with our expectations.'
