                               Board Appointment



Johnson Service Group PLC, one of the largest textile rental operators and the
leading drycleaning company in Britain, announces the appointment of David Toon
to the Board as an Executive Director with immediate effect.



David, 42, has been Managing Director of Johnsons Apparelmaster Ltd, the Group's
UK textile rental business, since October 2002 and will continue to be
responsible for this division.  He had previously headed up CCM, the Group's
garment manufacturing and sourcing company.



David has been closely associated with the industry since 1983. He joined
Johnsons in 2000 after having worked for various suppliers of garments to the UK
retail and service sectors.   He has an economics degree from the University of
Wales.



Commenting on the appointment, Stuart Graham, CEO said:  'During his time with
the Group David has built a good business.  Since his appointment as Managing
Director of Johnsons Apparelmaster last year, David has played a critical role
in overhauling the business and modernising our product and service offering.
David has considerable energy and vision and we are delighted to welcome David
to the Group Board, where my colleagues and I look forward to working with him
even more closely on the next stages of developing the Johnson Service Group.'
