                               BOARD APPOINTMENTS


Johnson Service Group PLC announces that Simon Moate and Michael Del Mar are to
be appointed to the Board of the Company.

Simon Moate (41) will take up his new role of Executive Director responsible for
Corporate Strategy and the Group's facilities management and sourcing business,
with effect from 12th May 2004. Simon joined the Group in October 2002 having
previously held several senior commercial roles with Aramark and Coca Cola. He
has now become a key member of the senior management team. He holds an MBA and
lives near Oxford.

Michael Del Mar (57) will also take up his role as Non-Executive Director with
effect from 12th May 2004. Until December 2003 Michael was with UBS Investment
Bank having joined S G Warburg in 1990. He has a wide experience in corporate
finance matters which will prove to be a great asset to the Board. He lives in
Hampshire and currently holds one other Non Executive Directorship.  Michael was
connected to Johnson through UBS Investment Bank.  The Board have carefully
considered Michael's recent relationship with Johnson and consider him to be
fully independent.

Pursuant to paragraph 6.F.2(a)of the UKLA Listing Rules Simon Moate and Michael
Del Mar have held the following directorships in the last five years:-

Simon Moate: Past:  Thirsty Work Water Coolers Limited

Michael Del Mar: Current:  Regional Airports Limited

Johnson Service Group PLC confirms that there are no other details which require
to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2(b) - (g) of the UKLA Listing Rules with
respect to Simon Moate and Michael Del Mar.
