Johnson Service Group PLC

("JSG" or "the Group")

CEO Succession

Further to the Group's announcement on 4 September 2017, JSG is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Egan, currently Managing Director of our Apparelmaster workwear business, to the Board of Directors as Chief Operating Officer ("COO") ahead of assuming the role of CEO.

Peter's transition to COO will take effect from 1 April 2018, allowing time for him to handover his current responsibilities.  Chris Sander remains flexible over the date of his retirement and, in that light, has agreed to remain with the Group until the end of 2018 to ensure a smooth and effective transition to Peter within that period.

Peter, aged 45 years, is a key member of the Group's senior management team and has over 25 years of experience in the textile rental sector.  He joined JSG in 1998 and has been Managing Director of the Group's workwear rental operations, Johnsons Apparelmaster ("Apparelmaster"), the UK's market leader in this sector, since 2014.  Peter has been instrumental in developing Apparelmaster's strategy and driving its growth, while also actively contributing to the development and execution of the Group's strategic plan.

Paul Moody, Chairman of JSG, said:

"Following Chris' decision to retire, the Board is delighted to announce Peter Egan as his successor.  We anticipate a smooth, well-managed and effective transition process between Chris and Peter during the coming year.

"Peter is an enormously talented leader and this appointment recognises his significant contribution to the development of the Group to date.  The Board is confident in his ability to lead JSG through its next stage of growth as we focus on continuing to build long-term shareholder value."

Chris Sander, Chief Executive Officer of JSG, said:

"It has been a great privilege to hold the role of CEO of Johnson Service Group and I am pleased to be handing on the baton to my colleague, Peter Egan, next year.  Having worked with Peter for almost 20 years, I am certain that the Group will continue to go from strength to strength under his leadership and with the wholehearted support of the JSG Board, Executive team and colleagues."
