The Fleming American Investment Trust plc
Changes to the Board of Directors
The Board of The Fleming American Investment Trust plc are pleased
to announce the appointment of Dr George Greener as a non-executive
Director with immediate effect.
Dr Greener is currently chairman of both Swallow Group plc and the
British Waterways Board and a director of Reckitt & Colman plc
(Reckitt Benckiser from 3/12/99). He was formerly the chief
executive of Hillsdown Holdings plc and a director of Allied Dunbar
Assurance plc, B.A.T. Industries plc and Eagle Star Holdings plc.
No other notifications are required to be made under paragraph 16.4
of the London Stock Exchange listing rules.
It is further announced that Mr Howard Rudebeck, who has been a non-
executive Director of the Company since 1983, will be retiring from
the Company on 31st December 1999.
