THE FLEMING AMERICAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
The Fleming American Investment Trust plc announces that
on the 3rd May in the market it purchased for
cancellation 75,000 ordinary shares at 760p per share
representing a total of 0.12% of the ordinary shares in
issue.
The number of shares repurchased to date now totals
9,945,564
The current repurchase authority for 9,646,420 shares was
approved by shareholders on 27 April 2000. To date
75,000 shares have been repurchased under this authority
which represents 0.78% of the ordinary shares in issue as
at the date share holder approval was granted.
The remaining shares in issue following this repurchase
is 64,277,370
