                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION









JPMorgan Fleming American Investment Trust plc announces that on Thursday 10th
April in the market it purchased for cancellation the following:



25,000 ordinary shares at 458p per share representing a total of 0.04% of the
ordinary shares in issue;



Under the current authority 4,089,525 shares have been repurchased under this
authority.



The remaining shares in issue following the above repurchases is 57,080,138.
