We would like to notify the market of the following:



As at 31st December 2007, JPMorgan American Investment Trust plc's capital
consisted of 42,725,949 ordinary 25 pence shares with voting rights.  JPMorgan
American Investment Trust plc does not hold any shares in treasury.



Therefore, the total number of voting rights in JPMorgan American Investment
Trust plc ast at 31st December 2007 was 42,725,949.



The above figure (42,725,949) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, JPMorgan American
Investment Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
