JPMORGAN AMERICAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

In conformity with the Transparency Directive, the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 29 February 2016,  JPMorgan American Investment Trust plc's issued share capital consists of 281,633,910 Ordinary 5 pence shares with voting rights.  The Company holds 8,926,672 Ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, as at 29 February 2016, the total number of voting rights in JPMorgan American Investment Trust plc is 272,707,238.

The above figure (272,707,238) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, JPM American Investment Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
