JPMORGAN AMERICAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR TREASURY STOCK

JPMorgan American Investment Trust plc has today purchased 30,452 ordinary shares into Treasury at 257.97 pence per share.

Following the transaction the Company holds 5,974,819 ordinary shares in Treasury. The shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 275,659,091.  The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
