Posting of shareholder circular

Further to the announcement made on 17 October 2012, JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") has today published and posted to its Shareholders a circular (the "Circular") and notice of general meeting of Shareholders (the "Notice"), which general meeting is to be held on 27 November 2012 (the "General Meeting").

The Circular sets out the Company's proposal to implement a tender offer for up to 24.99 per cent. of the Ordinary shares in issue as at the Record Date (including, for these purposes, Ordinary shares to be issued in respect of such Subscription shares as are in issue as at the Record Date and in respect of which a valid request for conversion is exercised by 31 October 2012) (the "Tender Offer") and summarises additional further proposals to be considered at the annual general meeting of the Company to be held on 31 January 2013. 

Shareholders will be asked to vote at the General Meeting on a resolution to approve the Company conducting the Tender Offer.

A copy of the Circular will shortly be available for inspection at the National Storage Mechanism which is located at www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/NSM and on the Company's website www.jpmasian.co.uk
