VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

JPMORGAN ASIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

In conformity with the Transparency Directive we would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 31st December 2009, JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc's capital consists of 162,502,108 Ordinary 25 pence shares, carrying one vote each and 29,505,851 Subscription shares of 1 pence each with no voting rights (although these shares are considered "qualifying financial instruments" in accordance with the revised DTR 5). Therefore as at 31st December 2009, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc is 162,502,108.

For shareholders who hold both Ordinary shares and Subscription shares the total number of voting rights (including the qualifying financial instruments) in JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc is 192,007,959.

The above figures (162,502,108) for Ordinary shareholders and (192,007,959) for Ordinary and Subscription shareholders may be used by shareholders as the denominators for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
