VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

JPMORGAN ASIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

In conformity with the Transparency Directive we would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 30^th December 2011, JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc's capital consists of 167,030,701 Ordinary 25 pence shares, carrying one vote each and 11,709,950 Subscription shares of 1 pence each with no voting rights. Therefore as at 30^th December 2011, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc is 167,030,701.

On 3^rd January 2012, the Company issued a further 17,292 Ordinary shares pursuant to the exercise of Subscription shares in the month of December 2011.  Therefore the total number of voting right for Ordinary shareholders as of today's date is 167,047,993.

The above figure (167,047,993) may be used by Ordinary shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
