LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

JPMORGAN ASIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc has today purchased 3,000,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at 193.00 pence per share. Following the transaction the number of ordinary shares in issue is 144,517,244.

The Company also has a total of 8,536,537 subscriptions shares in issue.

The Company does not hold any shares in Treasury. Any shares held in Treasury would only be re-issued at a premium to net asset value.
