Directorate Change - Appointment of Ms Kathryn Matthews

Listing Rule 9.6.13

The Board of JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Kathryn Matthews as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with immediate effect.

Ms Matthews' entire career has been in investment management, most recently as Chief Investment Officer, Asia Pacific (ex Japan) for Fidelity International.  Prior to that, she held senior appointments with William M Mercer, AXA Investment Managers, Santander Global Advisers and Baring Asset Management. 

Ms Matthews is a non-executive Director of Hermes Fund Managers Limited, Rathbone Brothers Public Limited Company, Fidelity Asian Values plc and Montanaro UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc. Ms Matthews has held no other directorships in the last five years.

There is no further information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 (2) to (6).
