                JPMORGAN FLEMING CHINESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

Further to the announcement made on 12th December 2001, the Company announces
that The Registrar of Companies has issued the certificate of incorporation on
change of name and therefore the name of the Company has been changed to
JPMorgan Fleming Chinese Investment Trust plc with effect from 13th December
2001.
