The Board of JPMorgan China Growth & Income plc (the 'Company'), as part of its succession planning, is pleased to announce its intention to appoint Mr. Aditya Sehgal as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st October 2021.

Mr. Sehgal was most recently President of Nutrition, 'eRB' and China with Reckitt - one of the world's largest companies for selfcare, household cleaning and personal care consumer products, with its headquarters in London. He has been on the Group Executive Committee for Reckitt since 2017 till Sep 2021. He became Chief Operating Officer, Health in January 2019 and as part of Reckitt's new business strategy, transitioned to his current role in July 2020.

He is a Director of RB (China Trading) Limited and RB & Manon Business Limited which established a joint venture with Reckitt Benckiser (referred to as 'RB'), Shanghai and other branches in Hong Kong and China.

Mr. Sehgal joined Reckitt in 1994 as a management trainee in India. After various roles in sales and marketing he moved to his first General Manager position in 2009 in China. He was appointed SVP North Asia in 2012 and in 2015 he was promoted to Global Category Officer Health. In 2017, Mr. Sehgal became EVP Infant & Child Nutrition ('IFCN') with responsibility for leading the on-boarding of Mead Johnson into Reckitt and the integration of the IFCN division into Health. In January 2018, he was appointed EVP Health for Developing Markets and Ecommerce.

He has spent several years working in China and has a wealth of experience in marketing , and a particular keen interest in technology and ecommerce-related business in China and globally.  The Board believes Mr. Sehgal will be a valuable addition to the Board.

No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Mr. Aditya Sehgal.
