STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT
JPMORGAN CHINESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC ('THE COMPANY')
SHARE ISSUANCE
The Board of JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc (the 'Company') announces
that it is withdrawing the prospectus dated 7th July 2006 from the Document
Viewing Facility at the UKLA, as it no longer intends to issue shares under this
document.
Instead, the Company continues to be able to issue shares pursuant to the
shareholder authority granted at the EGM held on 1st August 2006 and in
accordance with the Prospectus Rules, and it is the Company's intention that
this power be exercised where it is in the interests of shareholders so to do.
The Company will only issue shares at a premium to net asset value.
