JPMORGAN CHINESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
Results of General Meeting
Following a General Meeting of the Company, which was held today, the Board is
pleased to announce that the following resolutions were proposed and passed:
i) Resolution one, approving, inter alia, the Bonus Issue of
Subscription Shares as described in the Company's Prospectus dated 18 March
2008;
ii) Resolution two, renewing the Company's buy-back authority which
permits the Company under certain circumstances to buy back up to 14.99 per cent
of its issued Ordinary Share Capital (being 10,595,380 shares); and
iii) Resolution three, approving the continuation of the Company in its
current form until the end of the annual general meeting to be held on 2013.
In accordance with the Expected Timetable set out in the Circular, the Company
will make a further announcement setting out the number and Conversion Price of
Subscription Shares to be issued in advance of their expected admission to
dealing on 16 April 2008.
Defined terms used in this announcement shall, unless the context otherwise
requires, bear the meanings given to them in the Circular and Prospectus.
