                       LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

                              EXERCISE OF WARRANTS


The Board of JPMorgan Fleming Chinese Investment Trust plc (the 'Company')
announces that, following the final warrant exercise date on 2nd February 2004
and pursuant to the terms of the warrant particulars, a trustee has been
appointed and has advised the Company that the trustee will not exercise the
subscription rights in respect of the remaining 11,993,210 warrants.  All
subscription rights in respect of the warrants in the Company have now lapsed.

An application has been made to delist the warrants from the Official List.
