JPMORGAN CHINESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

ISSUE OF SHARES 

JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc announces that on Friday 15th May 2009 it received applications from subscription shareholders to exercise their rights in respect of 79,460 subscription shares. It is expected that the new ordinary shares arising from the conversion will be allotted and admitted to listing on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange on Monday 1st June 2009.
