                            MANAGEMENT ARRANGEMENTS

The Board of JPMorgan Fleming Chinese Investment Trust plc (the 'Company')
announces that Mr. Ernest Liu will continue to act as the Company's named
investment manager following Mr. Man Wing Chung's resignation from the Company's
Investment Manager, JPMorgan Asset Management.

Mr. Liu is a China country specialist and member of JF Asset Management's
Pacific Region Group based in Hong Kong and has been involved in the management
of the Company's portfolio since August 2003.

The Board expects to make a further announcement detailing the individual to
succeed Mr. Man Wing Chung and act as joint named investment manager with Mr Liu
in due course.
