VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

JPMORGAN CHINESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

('The Company')

In conformity with the Transparency Directive we would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 28 February 2013 the Company's share capital consists of 77,880,690 Ordinary 25 pence shares, carrying one vote each and 12,717,718 Subscription shares of 1 pence each with no voting rights.  The Company holds 1,346,781 ordinary shares in Treasury. Therefore as at 28 February 2013, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in the Company is 76,533,909.

The above figure (76,533,909) may be used by Ordinary shareholders as the denominator for the calculation, by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
