JPMORGAN CHINESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

TREASURY STOCK

JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc has today purchased into treasury 250,000 ordinary shares at 183.05 pence per share.

Following the transaction the Company holds 3,495,419 ordinary shares in treasury. The shares in issue less the total number of treasury shares is 74,419,546. The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
