             JPMORGAN FLEMING CLAVERHOUSE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC


New Director

The Board of JPMorgan Fleming Claverhouse Investment Trust plc is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr John Scott as a non-executive Director with
immediate effect.

Mr Scott was, until 2001, an Executive Director of Lazard Brothers & Co.,
Limited with much experience of the bank's Asian activities.  Mr Scott is
currently on the boards of four other investment trusts as well as a Lloyd's
broker, a venture capital manager and two quoted technology companies.

Any further details requiring disclosure under paragraph 16.4 of the FSA listing
Rules will be made within fourteen days.
