JPMORGAN CLAVERHOUSE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

The Board of JPMorgan Claverhouse Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Sutch as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st April 2013.

Mr Sutch is a partner in Stephenson Harwood LLP, where he is a corporate lawyer with particular experience in investment funds and financial services law and was the firm's senior partner for 10 years. He has extensive experience advising investment managers and investment funds. He is also a director of Jupiter European Opportunities Trust plc and a council member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art .

Mr Sutch's spouse, Mrs Shirley Anne Sutch, has a beneficial ownership of 2,590 shares in the Company.

No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Mr Sutch.
