Portfolio update

The Board of JPMorgan Russian Securities plc ("the Company") notes that the net asset value announced today has risen by 6.1% which is considerably above the rise recorded by the Russian market.  The principal reason for this is that the Company has an investment in Concern Kalina which announced on Friday 14th October 2011 that it had agreed to be acquired by Unilever plc.    Concern Kalina represented 4.1% of the Company's portfolio as at 14th October and its share price rose by 40% (the market maximum limit) on 14th October.
