                                 CHANGE OF NAME

Further to the announcement made on 1st November 2002, the Company announces
that The Registrar of Companies has issued the Certificate of Incorporation on
change of name and therefore the name of the Company has been changed to
JPMorgan Fleming Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc with effect from 7th
November 2002.
