JPMORGAN EMERGING MARKETS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

CONVERSION OF SUBSCRIPTION SHARES

JPMorgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc announces that today it issued 7,146,839 Ordinary shares following the exercise of conversion rights by a number of uncertificated Subscription shareholders. These shares are expected to be listed on The London Stock Exchange on 2nd August 2012.

The shares in issue, excluding shares held in Treasury, following this notification are 121,926,444 Ordinary shares and 10,267,081 Subscription shares.
