VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL
JPMORGAN EMERGING MARKETS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
In conformity with the Transparency Directive the Company would like to notify the market of the following:
As at 30th July 2010 the Company's share capital consists of 111,363,217 Ordinary 25 pence shares, carrying one vote each and 21,000,308 Subscription shares of 1 pence each with no voting rights (although these shares are considered "Financial Instruments with similar economic effect to Qualifying Financial Instruments" in accordance with DTR 5). Therefore as at 30th July 2010, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in JPMorgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc is 111,363,217.
For shareholders who hold both Ordinary and Subscription shares, the total number of voting rights (including Financial Instruments with similar economic effect to Qualifying Financial Instruments) in the Company is 132,363,525.
The above figures (111,363,217 for Ordinary shareholders and 132,363,525 for Ordinary and Subscription shareholders) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
