   REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
                          
The Fleming European Fledgeling Investment Trust
plc announces that today in the market they
purchased for cancellation 325,000 ordinary shares
at 178.0p per share representing 0.53% of the
ordinary shares in issue.


The  number  of  shares repurchased to  date  now
totals 1,276,303  representing 2.04% of the ordinary
shares  in issue  at  the  time  of commencement of
the  repurchase programme.

The remaining shares in issue following this
notification is 61,266,517
