                     REPURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION




JPMorgan European Fledgeling Investment Trust plc has today purchased 57,000
shares for cancellation at 692.11 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 51,293,198
including 2,579,875 shares held in treasury at a weighted average discount of
13.39%.
