The headline should read 'Transaction in Own Shares' and not 'Trading Update'
as previously stated.

Also the number of shares in issue less the total number of treasury shares should
have read 52,481,517 rather than 52,781,517.

                           PURCHASE OF OWN SECURITIES


JPMorgan Fleming European Fledgeling Investment Trust plc announces that on
Monday 23rd January 2006 it purchased in the market, to hold in treasury,
300,000 ordinary shares at 540 pence per share.


Following this repurchase the Company now holds a total of 300,000 shares in
treasury at an average size-weighted discount of 10.65%.


The number of shares in issue less the total number of treasury shares is
52,481,517.
