The Board of JPMorgan European Growth & Income plc (the "Company") announces that in accordance with its Board Succession Plan, Josephine Dixon will be retiring as Chairman of the Board and Director on 30^th September 2022.

The Board have agreed that Rita Dhut, who is currently the Chairman of the Nomination Committee and Management Engagement Committee, will take over as Chairman of the Board upon Josephine Dixon's retirement. Rita joined the Board in July 2019 and is an experienced investment trust director.

Commenting on the planned succession, Josephine Dixon said: 

'I am delighted that following the end of my tenure as a Director of the Company since 2013 and its Chairman since 2018, the Board have unanimously agreed that Rita Dhut will take over from me as Chairman of the Board immediately following my retirement on 30^th September 2022. I am confident that her background in financial services and board experience will be of great value to the Company'

Rita Dhut, the Chairman-elect commented:

'I would like to thank the Board for appointing me as Chairman on the retirement of Josephine Dixon. I have greatly enjoyed working with the Board since I joined as a director in 2019 and look forward to continuing to do so and to continuing Jo's effective leadership of the Board'.
