The Company purchased into treasury rather than for cancellation.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 24,821,397.

All other details remain unchanged.

JPMORGAN OVERSEAS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

TREASURY STOCK

JPMorgan Overseas Investment Trust plc today purchased into Treasury 12,334 ordinary shares at 762.90 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 24,821,397.

The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
