Appointment of a New Director

The Board of JPMorgan Overseas Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Gay Collins as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 21st February 2012.

Gay Collins is Executive Chairman of MHP, an international corporate communications consultancy. She co-founded one of MHP's predecessor consultancies, Penrose Financial, making it the market leader in specialist capital markets and financial services PR before selling the business to Engine Group in 2010. Gay has 22 years experience in PR and specialises in advising companies in the financial services space with particular expertise in strategic positioning for investment and pensions businesses. Gay began her career selling eurobonds to fund managers at Merrill Lynch and at Dean Witter in London and New York.  She is a founder member of the 30% Club, established to increase representation for women on UK plc's Boards. Gay is also involved in several charities including Bottletop, Sense and the NSPCC.
