       Renewal of Authority to Repurchase Own Ordinary Shares


At  an  Annual  General Meeting of the Company held  on  Tuesday  26
October 1999 authority was given by shareholders for the Company  to
purchase  up  to 16,778,096 of its own ordinary shares (representing
14.99% of the Company's issued share capital) for cancellation.
