The Board of JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc is pleased to announce its intention to appoint Lucy MacDonald as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1^st April 2021.

Lucy Macdonald ASIP has over 30 years experience in the asset management industry, most recently as CIO Global Equities at Allianz Global Investors. She was also Lead Portfolio Manager of Brunner Investment Trust, a global income and growth trust from 2016 until May 2020. She is on the CFA UK investor panel.

No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Lucy MacDonald.
