LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

ISSUE OF SHARES - CORRECTION

THE FOLLOWING IS A CORRECTION OF THE ANNOUNOUNCEMENT MADE ON 14TH NOVEMBER 2011:

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that today it issued 830,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 105.75 pence per share. Of that total, 115,000 shares were issued under the Company's existing blocklisting facility.

The balance of 715,000 Ordinary shares were allotted subject only to admission. Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for 715,000 Ordinary shares to be admitted to the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for the same number of Ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on 18th November 2011.

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 149,585,853 Ordinary shares.
