JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that today it issued 750,000 new Ordinary shares of 1p each for cash at 111.50 pence per share under its Ordinary share block listing facility. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 111,595,000 Ordinary shares.
