ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that today it issued 830,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 105.75 pence per share under its Ordinary share block listing facility. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 149,585,853 Ordinary shares.
