LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that today it issued, subject only to admission, 2,000,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 105.25 pence per share. Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for 2,000,000 Ordinary shares to be admitted to the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for the same number of Ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on 18th November 2011.

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 151,585,853 Ordinary shares.
