ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that on 19^th December 2013 it issued 250,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 115.25 pence per share under its Ordinary share block listing facility. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 254,679,438 Ordinary shares.
