JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that on 20^th December 2013 it issued 500,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 113.30 pence per share and 600,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 113.50 pence share under its Ordinary share block listing facility. 

Following these issues, the Company's issued share capital consists of 255,779,438 Ordinary shares.
