JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES INTO TREASURY

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc repurchased 199,277 ordinary shares into Treasury at 80.98 pence per share.

Following the transaction the Company holds 199,277 ordinary shares in Treasury.  The remaining shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 294,140,161.

The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
