Changes to Board of Directors

The Board of JPMorgan Fleming Indian Investment Trust plc today announce that it
is the intention of Michael Cannan, Chairman, to retire from the Company with
effect from 30th September 2002.



Mr Cannan has been Chairman of the Company since its launch in 1994.



Mr Philip Daubeney, who has been a Director of the Company since its launch,
will succeed Mr Chairman.
