THE FLEMING INDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT
HALF YEARLY RESULTS TO 31 MARCH 2001
London, 21st June 2001
The Board of the Company have today announced the unaudited interim results
for the six months to 31st March 2001.
Over the period the net asset value per share fell by 19.2% to 83.59p, which
compares with a fall of 16.3% in the benchmark, the Bombay Stock Exchange
National 100 Share Index.
The ordinary share price fell by 17.6% as the discount at which the Company's
shares trade to the net asset value narrowed from 23.1% to 21.6%.
As per previous years, no interim dividend has been declared.
